Fun for Everyone: The Best All Around Ski Resorts in Canada

Canada has a fantastic range of ski resorts to choose from, and there is something for everyone. If you are traveling with a group of mixed-ability skiers, you will be looking for a good all-round resort that caters for every level. Here is a selection of excellent all-round ski resorts that you can choose from when you are booking your ski vacation this year.

Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks is an excellent resort for all levels of skiers. If you have beginners in your group, they will be well catered for here. There are nursery slopes in the village center as well as long green runs to enjoy, and the ski schools is very good.

In addition to the beginners slopes, you will also find some good blue runs for intermediates as well as steep black runs spread out over the thousands of acres of terrain. The main street is traffic-free and the village is attractive and has a friendly atmosphere, making it an excellent choice.

Whistler

This is widely regarded as one of the best all-round ski resorts in Canada, and Whistler vacation homes are popular with all levels of skiers. Whistler and Blackcomb are the two mountains here, and together they make up the largest area in North America.

Whistler is particularly good for intermediates, but there are also nursery slopes for beginners and numerous green runs. Experts will also find plenty of powder, and the terrain parks are fantastic. The resort village is lots of fun, the après scene is lively, and there is lots to do besides skiing, making it a fantastic option for any group.

Panorama

This is a fantastic resort for all levels of skiers because it has terrain suitable for everyone from beginners to experts. It is almost completely car free and childcare is available for babies over 18 months, as well as babysitters and a ski school for kids over three, making it a popular family option.

Accommodation is convenient because you can ski out the door, and there are also plenty of activities besides skiing including ice skating, swimming, and water slides.

Silver Star

This attractive resort was designed to look like an old mining village, and it makes for a pleasant base for groups of skiers. The accommodation is very convenient for skiing because you will never be far from the snow, and there is a good ski school for kids. Runs range from green runs to diamond runs, and there are many activities including a natural ice rink and a tubing hill.

Lake Louise

Lake Louise is one of the most beautiful resorts in Canada. Located in the Banff National Park, it treats visitors to views of glaciers and mighty peaks including Mount Assiniboine. The skiing is excellent and suited to all levels, especially skiers who are intermediates or advanced.

Choose Your Ski Resort

There are many excellent ski resorts for all abilities in Canada, and these are just a few of the best. If you are traveling with a group of mixed-ability skiers, any of these resorts will be ideal. So take a look over the resorts and choose the best one for your ski holiday this year.

Lake Louise is one of my favorite spots, but I’ve never been there during ski season. In fact, I haven’t skied since middle school. I need to do that again!

I’ve visited Canada twice, but never got the chance to ski. This list of resorts is helpful. The next time I visit, I will make sure to squeeze in some time for skiing.

I haven’t been to Canada but I would love too one day even if I can’t hit up the ski slopes. I would love to try snowmobiling.

These are all awesome ski resorts to stay at indeed. Panorama and Silver Star sound like the resorts we would look into. My sons love to ski and snowboard but I can’t do either so I am glad there is just more than skiing. Thanks for sharing.

I have never been skiing before, which surprises a lot of people considering I live around one of the most popular ski resorts in northeastern Pennsylvania. I don’t know, something about breaking my legs or worse just doesn’t appeal to me. There are some really beautiful resorts out there, though.

I have been to Lake Louise, but just for some hiking. It is SO beautiful there. I am not a very good skier myself, but I bet my brother would be all over these mountains! What a beautiful view too!

We LOVE to ski! We haven’t been to any Canadian resorts yet, but we’ve been thinking about it. We’re in Rhode Island, so we’re not very far away.

I remember going skiing when I was a kid and loved it. Now I am afraid of falling.
